Get ready to “Freak the Freak Out,” because tonight, NBC’s Undateable is Live with special guest Victoria Justice. The former Nickelodeon Victorious, and current MTV Eye Candy star is joining Good Luck Charlie vet Bridgit Mendler and the rest of the cast for their new live episode, and yes there will be music.
The official plot preview for the all new live episode of Undatable, titled “A Live Show Walks Into a Bar,” reads:
“A music festival arrives, and both Danny and Justin woo a sightly backup singer (Victoria Justice) they met in a bar. Meanwhile, the gang tries to prevent Candace from going back to her old boyfriend. The episode is presented live.”
Tonight’s all new live episode features Victorious and Eye Candy star Victoria Justice.
Executive Producer Bill Lawrence (Scrubs creator) recently spoketo Entertainment Weekly about tonight’s live show:
“Everything with Undateable starts with the fact that [showrunner] Adam [Sztykiel] and I like the show, we think the performers are funny, and we’d do anything to give the show a shot.
“We saw how much success NBC was having, specifically with live programming. [NBC Chairman] Bob Greenblatt called up and asked if we’d do an hour-long live sitcom, an episode for both coasts. And we foolishly said yes, until we realized what an over-the-top nightmare this could possibly be. But I think it’ll be fun.”
