Time for another update in the life of Teresa Giudie, who continues to serve out her 15-month prison sentence. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star just celebrated Mother's Day while behind bars. Meanwhile, the Giudices are really struggling financially. It was recently revealed that their family home, which was in foreclosure, is now going to be auctioned off.
Although Teresa's luck continues to go from bad to worse, it appears that Giudice has at least one thing to be thankful for.
According to a number of reports, Teresa's family was set to see her on Mother's Day. Although, E! Online tells readers it was not immediately clear if Joe Giudice would be seeing his wife:
"We've got some insight on how Teresa Giudice will be spending her first Mother's Day behind bars...The 42-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who is currently in prison serving a 15-month sentence for fraud, will have at least a few of her family members by her side on Sunday...A source tells E! News that Teresa's daughters will be visiting her at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn. for Mother's Day."
Unfortunately, it's not all good news for Teresa Giudice.
It's no secret that the Giudices have been struggling with cash, and after having to mount an expensive legal fight (which they lost), the family is virtually bankrupt.
Despite many efforts to sell their extravagant family home, Joe and Teresa will be losing the property via an auction. According to Radar Online, the bids start at just $100:
"Teresa Giudice will be calling federal prison home for 15 months, but when she gets out of prison, it sounds like the Real Housewives of New Jersey star may not have a real home to go back to. Her mansion is on the market and her Jersey Shore home is going to auction -- for $100!"
