Spoiler Alert: If you have not seen the Season 1 finale of The Flash, then you should really question what is you are doing with life, and you might not wanna read this until you watch the episode. During Season 1 finale of The Flash, Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), sacrificed himself in order to stop The Reverse Flash/Harrison Wells/ Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh). Now, fans are wondering if Tom Cavanagh will return in Season 2, and if we will get to see other speedsters like Jay Garrick, Wally West and Bart Allen.
Recently, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about Tom Cavanagh’s future on the show:
“Tom Cavanagh will be back. That is not in question. Tom Cavanagh will continue to be a regular.”
Where Rick Cosnett will not be a regular next year, he could still return, as Kreisberg adds:
“The great thing with our show -- you saw it with Colin Donnell and with Caity Lotz -- is just because you are dead doesn't mean you're not coming back. Especially in the world of The Flash, which involves time travel and real hardcore science fiction, there's always a way for Eddie to return, and we hope Rick will.”
Kreisberg went on to add that we see more speedsters next season, adding:
“Yeah. We are going to introduce a few more speedsters next year and a bunch more villains. How they and those villains come about is part of the surprise of season two.”
