The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Penny Dreadful, titled “Evil Spirits in Heavenly Places,” reads:
“Lyle reveals that the Verbis Diablo relics tell a very dark and disturbing story that affects Vanessa; Rusk interviews the survivor of the attack at the Mariner's Inn; Hecate tries to get closer to Ethan; Angelique and Dorian's romance grows. Back at Sir Malcolm's mansion, Vanessa, Ethan, Sir Malcolm, Sembene and Lyle carry on their evening as something evil lurks within, ready to strike.”
Recently, Josh Hartnett opened up to IGN about the changes his character is going through this year:
"All of the characters are going into a new state of awareness of themselves this year. At the same time, we're under attack. As last year we were hunting, now we're hunted. We all have people after us."
