While Kim Richards' struggle with alcoholism was clearly at the center of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 7, newcomer Lisa Rinna practically stole the show with her wine glass smashing antics and take no prisoners attitude towrds protecting hubby, Harry Hamlin. According to the latest news updates, the Melrose Place actress would have been on the reality TV series years ago had executive producer and Watch What Happens Live! host, Andy Cohen, stopped her from being cast in the last stages of the audtioning process. Also publicly changing their minds after all these years is Brandi Glanville, who recently asked her Instagram and Twitter followers to mind their manners when speaking about former nemesis LeAnn Rhimes and ex-husband Eddie Cibrian on social media -- or suffer the consequences.
Andy Cohen isn't necessarily the only gate keeper when it comes to getting cast on any one of Bravo's Housewives series, but his veto seems to almost be enough to get you dropped fom consideraton -- no questions asked.
In his yet to be aired interview with Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny Frankel, who he also didn't initially think was right for the franchise, the Watch What Happens Live! host admits that he was the one who sank Lisa Rinna's shot at getting in the Beverly Hills spin-off way back in Season 1 (via Daily Mail):
"You know Lisa Rinna was on the first casting tape for Beverly Hills?
"In the first season of Beverly Hills, I thought, 'I don't see it. It's weird. It's not what this show is.'
"But then last year I wanted her on."
Even more interesting is the news that Brandi Glanville is seriously cracking down on her own fans bashing her former enemies, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, who she has since reconciled for the sake of her children, on her Instagram and Twitter feeds.
In a warning from yesterday, Brandi let her Twitter followers know that she wouldn't be tolerating anymore hateful posts regarding her ex-husband and his new wife, before continuing to spread her new message of peace and unity through Instagram:

During a candid conversation with OK! Magazine, Brandi admitted that things were going so well on the ex-husband front that she was still sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop (via Inquisitr):
"It's really nice and very weird because the tide has been smooth for a little while now.
"It worries me that something crazy's about to happen because usually it ebbs and flows.
"I hope it continues to stay cool like this."
Let's hope that Andy Cohen isn't keeping the next NeNe Leakes or Lisa Vanderpump off one of the shows just because he's inexplicably unable to "see it".
