Unfortunately, pop singer P!nk has had to deal with certain critics having the gall of calling out her recent weight gain in the media as though she had been caught running an underage sweatshop. In response, Carey Hart's wife, born Alicia Moore, has been taking her haters to task -- reminding the world that bullies are really just the scum of the earth. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, P!nk has been keeping the real reason behind her putting on weight a secret. Word has it that she has been packing on the pounds to increase her fertility in the hopes of soon getting pregnant with a new baby.
After more than a decade making music, P!nk wants the members of the media that think it's okay to openly mock the size and shape of her body to know that she's isn't going to stand for it.
During a recent interview with Entertain Tonight, Moore calmly pointed out that the people trying to shame her were really nothing more than nasty bullies trying to make a dollar by praying on a woman and her daughter (via HuffPo):
"I'm not a person that will be bullied. I'm not a person that will stand by and watch other people bullied.
"I think that I'm also raising a girl. I am a girl. I have feelings.
"People think that I take no sh*t and that I'm tough, I'm tougher than nails. But I'm a human being."
Pink goes on to explain that the people responsible for that insensitive kind of commentary often seem to forget that no one really cares to hear what they have to say anyway:
"I think people have gotten it wrong, they think their opinion matters and holds weight."
A source claiming to be close to Alicia and Carey revels in the June 8, issue of OK! Magazine that Moore's fiery comments directed towards the media was really just a smoke screen to keep people from realizing the real reason she recently starting gaining more weight has to do with her love of children -- not fast food:
"She's taking folic acid and putting on weight to boost her fertility."
According to the spy, P!nk is trying to keep the whole thing private for now while they try to figure out why they aren't conceiving as quickly as they would have liked:
"She wants this more than anything so the situation is kind of worrying."
Let's just hope that the fat shamers aren't adding on any extra stress to what P!nk and Carey might be going through.
