It was recently revealed that the Transformers movie franchise was expanding into a Marvel Esque shared film universe. In addition to Transformers 5, rumored to be released in 2017, new spin-offs are also planned with writers Robert Kirkman (Walking Dead), Jeff Pinkner (Amazing Spider-Man), Zak Penn (Avengers) and Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man). Now, new details are coming out about on of the spin-offs, with one reportedly planned around Bumblebee.
The Transformers film universe is growing and new info is coming out about the new spin-off.
Hasbro chief executive Brian Goldner recently revealed that one of the planned spin-offs could revolve around Bumblebee, as tfw2005.com reports:
"As we go forward, we would imagine several more Transformers Movies. Not just in the current lineage but also spinoffs and focusing on certain key characters that a beloved by the world over. Many of you know Bumblebee; the yellow Camaro… formally known as a yellow VW Bug and he is a beloved character by kids all over the world. We could see stories told around Bumblebee and other characters. We are in a process of building the brand equity around the Comic Book Business, our TV Business, our Digital Gaming Business and adding to that our new movie business of Transformers".
