Pirates Andrew McCutchen Keeps Engaging Public With Batman Michael Keaton

Pittsburg Pirates star outfielder Andrew McCutchen has been playing great and keeping his team on the heels of the division-leading Cardinals. With how well McCutchen has been playing, the public has taken notice, both his fans and the hecklers. The Pirates star's hecklers should be on the lookout though, because Cutch fan Michael Keaton, Batman, has been having McCutchen's back and will make you pay for it.

The most recent run-in with a fan in Pittsburg happened when the Padres were visiting PNC Park. After a final strikeout to win the game, many fans started celebrating, but McCutchen took notice of one family in particular. The family draped in Pirates gear in the bleacher seats got more than expected, when McCutchen came up to them during the celebration and acknowledged their support. As ESPN states, the joyous scene is what makes baseball America's pastime:

"Pure bliss. Thank you, young Pirates fans, for reminding us what it is like to be a kid. Thank you, Andrew McCutchen, for acknowledging them and making them feel like the coolest cats at the ballpark."

During a visit to Atlanta to play the Braves, McCutchen was this time on the other side of fandom, after being confronted by a heckler from the home team. McCutchen responded to the fan by hitting a double while leading his team to victory. While McCutchen was proving it on the field, longtime Pirates' fan Michael Keaton was in attendance in the stands, and prior to his leaving, made his way over to the Braves fan. Bleacher Report tells the story of Batman standing up for his team:

"Fast-forward to the end of the game. Keaton, who was sitting near the heckler, walked over to the guy and gave him a taste of his own medicine. He pointed to the scoreboard -- the sporting equivalent of a mic drop."

What do you think of the kids' reactions after celebrating with McCutchen? Do you think McCutchen's hecklers are going to think twice now with Batman protecting his favorite team? Tell us what you think below.
