Elisabeth Hasselbeck appears to be angry with Barbara Walters, according to a gossip website’s claims. Regardless, Hasselbeck is prepping for her new job over at Fox News, while Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson prepare for their own big moves.
According to gossip site Showbiz Spy, Elisabeth Hasselbeck is on the outs with her former boss Barbara Walters. Their beef apparently stems from Hasselbeck’s last day on the job.
According to Spy, a source close to Hasselbeck has revealed:
“Elisabeth is fuming over this latest snub from Barbara. It’s no secret that politically conservative Elisabeth wasn’t afraid to publicly stand up to Barbara’s liberal points of view. That’s grated on Barbara’s nerves and obviously reached a boiling point this past year. Now Elisabeth feels the very minor going-away tribute given to her, versus the spectacle bestowed upon Barbara’s good friend Joy, was just another public dig to embarrass her.”
The site is referencing Hasselbeck’s last day on The View, back in July. Barbara didn’t make a huge event out of her leaving the hit daytime show, and she certainly didn’t give her an hour long special for her exit (like she did for Joy Behar).
Hasselbeck will be heading to Fox and Friends on the Fox News channel. This will be only one of their numerous lineup changes set to take place in the fall.
Elisabeth will be replacing Gretchen Carlson, who is stepping up to host her very own afternoon hour. Carlson will be taking Megyn Kelly’s old timeslot.
Kelly will be replacing Sean Hannity as soon as she returns from maternity leave.
