It looks like Bachelor Chris Soules engagement to Whitney Bischoff might have been heartfelt after all, but that doesn't mean Prince Farming regrets their having split. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Season 19 lead felt compelled to give Whitney the ring at the finale only to later realize that making the relationship work outside of the TV show might be more trouble than it was really worth. In related news, it also being rumored that Soules may secretly be dating his Dancing with the Stars pro-partner, Witney Carson, who recently insisted that Chris brought more to the show than her previous partner and co-champion, Alfonso Ribeiro.
Doing his best to explain what could have possibly led to his splitting with former fiancé, Whitney Bischoff, just a few short months after getting engaged on television, Chris Soules told Buddy TV that life is just different when you get away from the Bachelor limelight:
"Well, we got engaged on the show. I mean technically yeah [our engagement was real]. She had the ring, the whole nine yards.
"We tried to make it work. We tried to figure things out in the real world. It's much different in the real world than it is on TV, you know, on a television show.
"You kind of get the opportunity to, you know, actually experience real life together."
Staying true to his moniker -- Prince Farming didn't get into the nitty-gritty reasons for their split, instead framing it as two caring people caught up in a crazy situation:
"Well there really is not much to say.
"It was two people that were mature and went into a weird situation, came out, tried to make it work."
An eavesdropper that Page Six spoke to, however, claimed that Soules' Zen like outlook might have something to do with the loving text he seems to be receiving from Witney Carson:
"During dinner the visiting hunky Iowa farmer was heard telling pals that 'he received a text from Whitney that included a photo and heart emojis.'
"That had nearby fans' tongues wagging over whether he meant his ex, Whitney from The Bachelor, or his former Dancing with the Stars partner, Witney Carson."
Whether Witney is secretly texting Chris or not, she certainly seemed to be a pretty smitten kitten when talking to Glamour about her less than talented dancing partner (via Inquisitr):
"So with Chris it was definitely challenging, but I was talking to someone about this yesterday and it has only been my most rewarding season because I really could see the progression in Chris every single week.
"The fact that we made it to the quarterfinals, and he had no dance experience...I feel like Chris is what the show is about. He is the show."
So it would seem that Witney Carson is either in love with Chris Soules or has completely lost her mind.
