Rumors are flying once again that say Prince Harry of Wales and his girlfriend Cressida Bonas are planning a wedding in 2013. These speculations are claiming that the pair may have gotten engaged on their recent vacation and that the happy couple are busy planning their marriage.
The rumors likely originated from a similar trip that Harry’s brother, Prince William, made to Kenya back in 2010. On the journey, William proposed to Kate, who obviously said yes!
Other than that parallel, there is absolutely no basis for the rumors. Of course, the fact that Prince Harry is so secretive about his relationship makes it difficult to tell.
According to Fashion and Style, it’s Cressida that has problems living in a spotlight. A source close to the couple reveals that:
“They meet at friends’ houses and it’s a full-on romance. But Harry is aware that Cressida doesn’t enjoy being in the spotlight--it freaks her out a bit. He’s hoping the African trip with friends will enable them to relax and get to know each other better.”
Of course, Prince Harry’s recent comments about the birth of Prince George, don’t indicate that there is a wedding in the immediate future. While giving a speech in front of the Royal Marines, he said that:
“My father is over the moon to be a grandfather. He's got one [grandchild] now it will be fine. The pressure's off now."
The statement was met with laughter, though it may not be entirely true. A source close to the couple revealed to E! News:
"I would not be surprised if she's the one he marries. They are very affectionate with one another when they are with their friends. They kiss and cuddle and just seem head over heels for one another. They both have the same sense of fun and adventure. They're on the same wavelength. They are so compatible. Cressida is really smart, very naturally pretty and just a really cool girl to hang out with. It's hard for Harry to date as there are so many opportunities out there, but Cressida is someone he knows he can trust as she is already in his circle.”
