Guardians of the Galaxy 2013 Cast Rumors: The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon [UPDATE]

‘Hangover’ star Bradley Cooper is rumored to be in talks with Marvel Studio to join the 2013 cast of the upcoming film, Guardians of The Galaxy. That said, all of you out there hoping to catch a glimpse of the leading man in tights need to cool your jets. Rumor has it, the studio plans to keep Cooper off-screen, as the voice of Rocket Raccoon.

Bradley Cooper looks like a superhero--handsome, witty and fit It's almost as if the guy just jumped straight out of a comic. So it comes as a surprise to hear that the Disney-owned Marvel Studios wants Cooper for his voice and not his body.

Experts in the world of comic culture, Latino Review, are reporting that Marvel is looking at the 38-year-old to voice Rocket Racoon in 2014’s Guardians of The Galaxy.

Rocket--a gun toting, anthropomorphic space Racoon, is a must have for any Guardians movie. Bradley Cooper is a Hollywood top pick for any number of superhero roles, but is the 2011 People Magazine's sexiest man alive winner really the best fit for the part.

If Marvel really plans on shelling out big bucks for the A-lister, one would think they would be better off utilizing all of his "talents" and not hiding the looker behind a microphone.

Besides Cooper, has a seemingly good working relationship with Rival studio Warner Brothers, who distributed the Hangover trilogy and is a fan favorite also rumored to play the Flash, should WB/DC comics ever move forward with a feature.

That said it's not unprecedented for actor to pull double duty for both companies. For example Ryan Reynolds played DC's Green Lantern as well as Marvel's Deadpool.

While Cooper's casting is still unconfirmed, the rest of the cast list has been officially announced. Including Zero Dark Thirty and Parks And Rec's funnyman Chris Pratt, The Walking Dead's Michael Rooker, and WWE's Dave Batista alongside Vin Diesel, John. C Reilly, Benicio Del Toro and featuring the acclaimed Glenn Close as Nova Prime.

Cooper can be seen alongside other heroes, (Batman) Christian Bale and (Hawkeye) Jeremy Renner, in their upcoming film American Hustle due in theaters this Christmas.
