The winning numbers for this week’s Mega Millions lottery jackpot are: 11, 17, 34, 43, 50, MB 15
In addition to the massive grand prize, each week the Mega Millions lottery also offers smaller prizes for winners who match all five white balls.
The official Mega Millions lottery website is reporting on one of those lucky winners who recently brought home $3 million, writing:
“June 10, 2015 - It’s a triple play for Don Wilson. The South Chesterfield, Va., man won the $1 million prize three times in the June 2 Mega Millions drawing. Each of those tickets matched the first five numbers, missing only the Mega Ball number. In addition, two more of his tickets won $500 each, bringing his total winnings in that one drawing to $3,001,000.
“The winning tickets were bought at the Kangaroo Express, 891 Temple Avenue in Colonial Heights. On June 10, Mr. Wilson received his check from Virginia Lottery Executive Director Paula Otto. The store received a $10,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
“The winning numbers were 2-9-11-22-23 and the Mega Ball number was 12. Had any of his tickets matched all six numbers, he would have won part of a jackpot estimated at $260 million. Mr. Wilson said those numbers were selected because they correspond with family birthdays.”
