It is official. The rumors that Daredevil stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were getting a divorce are real. The break up news comes after years of speculation. In the past Affleck rumored gambling addiction and cheating rumors on the parts of both Ben and Jen have plagued the couple who were married for 10 years and share three children together, aged 3, 6, and 9.
For years now Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have both been the subject of cheating rumors. Most recently, it was reported that Garner was seeking comfort in the arms of her ex- boyfriend and former Alias costar Michael Vartan.
Garner was also rumored to have been seeing Vartan while she was still married to her ex-husband Scott Foley.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have now released a joint statement to the press confirming the divorce (ABC News):
"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."
