The Disney Channel’s new film, Teen Beach Movie 2 is currently all the rage and making megastars out of the young and talented cast. So naturally comparisons are being made between the hit franchise and Disney Channel’s other hit musical series, High School Musical. However, Tanner actor Garrett Clayton isn’t really too happy being compared to HSM hunk Zac Efron. Apparently Clayton doesn’t feel like he is really leading man material. In a recent interview with Flaunt Magazine, Garrett Clayton, addressed his frustrations with being compared to Zac Efron (via J-14):
“People compare us so much. I think everyone expects me to want to be like him. [Zac] was more of the romantic leading man. Whereas I’m kind of like the funny best friend a lot of the time. I just want to be able to be a character actor.”
