Kate Gosselin Celebrates Twins' Birthday After Son Collin's Suspension, Abuse Claims

Kate Gosselin may have recently turned 40, but this week she was celebrating the birthdays of her others. Her sextuplets are now nearly all grown up, turning 11. Meanwhile, Kate recently revealed that her son Collin suffers from social skill problems and educational challenges. This makes a major turnaround for Kate, who initially denied that her son was expelled from school for those reasons back in 2010. Earlier in the year, Kate was reportedly investigated for allegedly abusing the young boy.

In case you missed this week's Kate Plus 8, don't panic. We've got an update just for you.

After celebrating her own 40th birthday last week, this week's episode focused on her twins turning the big 1-1.

That's right, People tells readers that Jon and Kate's sextuplets are nearly all grown up:

"On last week's Kate Plus 8, Kate Gosselin marked her big 4-0, now she's turning her attention toward the sextuplets as they celebrate their 11th birthday... Kate says one of the benefits of age is that she doesn't sweat the small stuff anymore...That said, a progressive birthday party for the sextuplets -- including roller skating, pizza and boys and girls slumber parties at a hotel -- might just cause Kate to pull out a cloth to wipe down her forehead after all."

Unfortunately, that isn't the only reason that Kate Gosselin finds herself in the news.

The reality star also admitted that her son Collin has been struggling to adapt socially and educationally. This marks a major turnaround for Kate, who initially denied that her son was once expelled for behavioral issues.

In this week's episode, however, Kate spoke openly about Collin's challenges (via Radar Online):

"Definitely this year in terms of changes, Collin sticks out the most. It's been a year of figuring out kind of where he's going and how best to help him...At times his inability to problem solve in a social setting leaves him frustrated and overwhelmed with the situation...We learned over time that often the best thing for him is to step away and process it and adapt, after which he typically rejoins and is fine."

Earlier in the year, however, In Touch reported that Kate was accused of abusing the child. However, it should be noted that the alleged investigators found the claims to be unsubstantiated.

What do you think of the latest reports? Is there any chance that Kate really abused Collin? Or, do you think this is just someone seeking revenge on Kate?
