KKK Gets Humiliated by Sousaphone Player Matt Buck at South Carolina State House Rally

If you've been keeping up with your viral videos as of late, then perhaps you caught the one of Matt Buck, a sousaphone player who played alongside a KKK rally that took place outside the South Carolina State House.

The Klan recently marched on the South Carolina State House to rally a protest opposing the governor's decision to remove the Confederate Flag due to its association with racial hatred.

From that gathering, a bystander was able to snag a segment of the sousaphone action.

Now the video has accrued millions of hits and has catapulted Buck to a sort of American heroic stardom. Providing a slow soundtrack of Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, the musician was able to give the public and audience a sense of amusement when focusing on a group that's rather, well, off-base.

Something Seth MacFarlane would've concocted, Buck commented on the song choice and the performance:

"That first little ditty was a little marching baseline. It's a very lethargic one that they used to use in old Looney Tunes cartoons. It got really popular in Family Guy when Stewie quits his day job to start following a fat guy around all day long while playing it."

He continued:

"Then there's Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries.' In movies, it's used as sort of a ride of the bad guys. In Blues Brothers, they use it to make fun of the Nazis. So I thought it'd be fun to make fun of the KKK the way they did with the Nazis in the movies."

As one would imagine, some of the Klansman were not amused by the performance and didn't seem to fully understand his decision. A comedic stunt, to say the least, it's helped shed a humorous light on a group that is a center for hatred in America.

When watching the video, listen to videographer comment, "This is what stupid looks like."

Without further ado, here is the musician's popular decision to humiliate the KKK in South Carolina below.
