It is August and that means that their are all new Xbox Live free Game with Gold downloads available. This month Xbox One owners can get their mits on Metal Gear Solid 4: Ground Zeroes. But wait, there is more. Last month Microsoft announced that there will now be two Games with Gold each month. The second half of the month gamers can get their paws on the zombie slaying, How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition.
First up this month is Metal Gear Solid 4: Ground Zeroes.
The official Xbox store description of the game, reads in part:
“World-renowned Kojima Productions showcases the latest masterpiece in the METAL GEAR SOLID franchise with METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES. METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES is the first segment of the ‘Metal Gear Solid V Experience’ and prologue to the larger second segment, METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN launching thereafter.”
Metal Gear Solid V normally sells for an estimated retail price of $19.99, but is free for all Xbox Live Gold members until August 31.
If Metal Gear Solid V was not enough for you, later in the month you will be able to get your hands on How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition.
The official Xbox Wire report describes the game, writing:
“Playable solo or with a buddy, How to Survive drops you onto an island with nothing but your wits and some basic tools, and challenges you to survive the elements and some ravenous zombies. Fortunately, stashed around the place are titular guidebooks that provide information on the game’s in-depth crafting system, action-packed combat, and tongue-in-cheek sensibility. This one is all about pure enjoyment, so don’t spend too much time worrying about weapon optimization or getting your combos just right; get in there and have some fun.”
How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition normally sells for $19.99, but will be free for Xbox Live Gold members from August 16-September 15.
