America's most hated man, George "Stood-His-Ground" Zimmerman, is at it again. The acquitted killer was arrested Monday afternoon after an alleged assault on his soon to be ex-wife, Shellie Zimmerman.
Zimmerman, who filed for divorce last week, has since dropped all charges. George Zimmerman is once again a free man.
Yes, the invincible man has gotten away with murder yet again (figuratively, this time). Just two short months after being acquitted of murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martian, George Zimmerman found himself back in handcuffs.
Zimmerman's estranged wife called 911 early Monday afternoon, claiming her husband was threatening her and her family. She told the operator: "He’s in his car, and he continually has his hand on his gun, and he keeps saying 'step closer' and he’s just threatening all of us."
Mrs. Zimmerman added: "He punched my dad in the nose. My dad has a mark on the nose. I saw his glasses were on the floor...he then accosted my father, then took my iPad out of my hands. He then smashed it and cut it with a pocket knife, and there is a Lake Mary city worker across the street that I believe saw all of it."
Police arrived shortly after and detained Zimmerman. However, no charges were filed against him after Shellie later changed her story, telling cops that she never saw the gun.
This isn't the first time Zimmerman has managed to escape justice. Of course, there is the most notable example when Zimmerman was found not guilty in the Martin case, which he wasn't initially arrested for.
Zimmerman also had a prior history of violence before he graduated to murder. In 2005, he was arrested for assaulting an undercover officer, while drunk, and he had all charges dropped after receiving a small slap on the wrist. Later in 2005, he was accused of domestic abuse by his ex-fiance.
More recently, Zimmerman has been reportedly living a life excess. He has been pulled over twice for speeding in as many months. His increasing reckless behavior eventually led to his wife, who stuck by him through out the trial, to file for divorce.
