Jurassic World 2015 Release Date and Name Change: Steven Spielberg Takes the Franchise Out of Park

The 2015 summer movie schedule just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The already cramped season is busting at the seems with big budget films. With a vast number of highly incapacitated releases there isn't much room left in the box office. Well it looks like the block just might bust, cause Universal Studios has announced Steven Spielberg's long awaited Jurassic Park Four has been moved to 2015. That's not all, the dinosaur flick is also getting a new name. Jurassic World!

To say that 1993's Jurassic Park was a huge success is a little bit of an understatement. The movie and it's 2012 3D re-release, combined, won three Academy awards and have grossed an impressive $1,023,553,882, making it the 13th highest grossing film of all time.

The franchise fell into purgatory for over a decade after 2001's Jurassic Park 3, But the series has survived extinction once again. As Jeff Goldblum's character Dr. Ian Malcolm says in the movie, "Life finds a way."

2015 will be one of the busiest years for movie goers. Everything from video game movies ( Assassins Creed) to Comic book films (The yet to be titled Superman vs Batman, Marvel's Avengers Two: The Age of Ultron, Fantastic Four, and the newly announced, Antman ) and much more all scheduled for release. lets not forget about Disney's Star Wars Episode Seven.

However the recent departure of Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales, opens up a little room. Is it room enough for a dinosaur or two, only time will tell. One thing is for sure, Movie buffs better start saving their money, now.
