Landing a recurring role on Australia's The Voice has been one of the best things that has ever happened to longtime coach Joel Madden, but joining the reality TV show cast for the last five-years running may not have been the best thing for his marriage to Nicole Richie. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Candidly Nicole star is feuding with her Good Charlotte husband due to his incessant flirting with costar, Jessie J. Despite the near-constant rumors that she is ready to divorce her husband, some folks claim that Nicole Richie is far more worried about her little sister, Sofia. Word has it that Nicole is sacred to death that Lionel youngest will follow her down the same destructive path to fame, now that she has been named the new spokesmodel for Madonna's Material Girl line.
After months of insisting that Nicole Richie is fed up with her husband, Joel Madden, for one odd reason of another, it seems the supermarket tabloids have a new plan of attack.
One source in the latest August 31, issue of OK! Magazine claims that now Joel is hitting on his Voice cast mate, Jessie J, so hard that his wife can't take it:
"Joel and Jessie are very flirty behind the scenes. She enjoys teasing him and he gives as good as he gets.
"Nicole is very upset. She demanded Joel steer clear of Jessie, but he accused her of overacting...It's caused a few fights between them."
According to the supposed insider that Life and Style spoke to, however, Nicole is far too worried about what her little sister is doing with her new friends to pay any attention to what the tabloids are saying about her marriage:
"Sofia's been hanging out with Kylie Jenner and Justin Bieber, and she's frequently at parties where alcohol and drugs are all around.
"[Nicole] knows how easy it is to cave to peer pressure...[and] is petrified that Sofia is going to follow in her self-destructive footsteps."
In addition to reportedly making new friends, the informant reveals that Sofia is also said to be pushing back against her big sis' trying to control her personal life:
"Sofia recently flipped out because she caught Nicole looking through her phone.
"But Nicole is just being protective."
