They may seem as excited as ever about having a baby when hosting their new talk show on Fox, but word has it that 57-year-old rapper/actor Ice T was pretty shocked when he first heard the news that his wife was pregnant. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Law & Order: SVU star upset Coco Austin when he nervously joked that he wanted her to get a DNA test to prove the kid was really his. It said that T found himself in the dog house for days thanks to the faux pas, which had an especial sting given Austin's supposedly cheating with AP.9 back in 2013.
They are one of Hollywood's longest lasting couples, but that doesn't mean that things always go smoothly in Ice T's marriage to Coco.
One source in the latest August 31, issue of Star magazine claims that upon hearing the news that Coco was going to have a baby, Ice wondered aloud if it might not be his:
"He joked he wanted a DNA test...[and] Coco was practically in tears over it.
"Ice just can't believe he's going to be a father again at 57, and he makes jokes because he's a little nervous.
"He was in the doghouse for a while after that crass joke, but it seems like he definitely got the message."
All that being said, Ice has since steadied himself and by all accounts is 100 percent gung-ho over the arrival of his new baby girl, Chanel Nicole.
On their new talk show the Law & Order actor revealed that he and Coco have actually been planning to start a family for over a decade (via E! News):
"Coco and I are very excited about having baby.
"The other day, we released the name and the gender. It's a girl and we're going to name her Chanel.
"[We] came up with that name 10 years ago."
