Kim Richards has had a rough go of things lately. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was ousted from the series after a high profile arrest, followed by her dropping out of rehab and getting arrested again, this time for allegedly shoplifting from a Target. Now, Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump is opening up about her former RHOBH co-star.
While at Hero Dog Awards Benefit Luncheon, at her West Hollywood restaurant PUMP, Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump is opening up about Kim Richards absence, telling US Weekly:
"Well, I'm sorry Kim's not here because of the situation. That's the thing. But I think her sobriety is more important than any reality show. And I think a lot of people recognize that fact and that's probably why she's not in this season.//I'm not that close to Kim, obviously I'm closer to Kyle. I’ve heard updates and stuff. But it's a sad situation."
Kim During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kim Richards opened up about the “situation,” saying:
"I love sobriety. I've always loved sobriety, and relapsing was very hard for me. It was not easy. I have to say, don't take this wrong, but I really wanted to go to treatment because I needed a break from what I was going through at home...Monty, my ex-husband, is very sick and my son wasn't well. And I had to give away my dog, and I wasn't talking to my sister [Kyle Richards]."
Shortly following that interview, Richards was arrested for allegedly shoplifting from a Target in L.A.
