New rumors have surfaced which claim that Katy Perry is pregnant with John Mayer’s baby. These latest wave of claims follows multiple reports that Mayer asked Perry to marry him. While they may not be planning a wedding anytime soon, the “Roar” singer is excited to start a new family.
In a recent interview, Katy admitted that she wanted to have children someday. Of course, the tabloids picked up this story and ran with it, as evidenced by OK! Magazine’s use of the misleading title: “Katy & John: Having a Baby.”
Within the article, the tabloid doesn’t directly state that the couple is expecting a child. Instead, they just totally speculate about how the couple could one day have children. A “source” told the publication that:
“Things are going full-steam ahead for John and Katy. As everyone knows, they’ve had their rough spots, but it’s all ironed out and things are just wonderful for them right now. They couldn’t be more in love.”
The alleged insider also spoke about what lead the couple to wanting a child in the first place. Apparently, Katy was later than usual last month and needed a pregnancy test. This caused the couple to openly address the issue, as the source reveals:
“Without meaning to, Katy blabbed to John when he asked her what was wrong. Instead of him flipping out, he leapt with joy and grabbed her in a huge bear hug! She was completely, totally shocked.”
