Iron Man star Gwyneth Paltrow recently commented on her possible role in Avengers 2, killing rumors that she will make her return to the sequel. However, she is still hopeful for a possible Pepper Pots, Rescue Spin-off.
When she is not throwing her children in front of buses, Gwyneth Paltrow fancies herself something of a superhero. The 40-year-old actress has played Tony Stark's love interest, Pepper Potts, in four feature films, including the Iron Man trilogy and 2011's smash hit, The Avengers. However, it appears that we might not be seeing the heroine for a fifth time in the upcoming sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Paltrow is currently denying any involvement in the film. As a matter of fact, she seemingly didn't know the title of the film when asked about her possible involvement by Hitfix, in a recent interview:
"I don't think so, no one has asked me...What is it called?..Well, no, I don't think so. I haven't heard anything. My phone has not rung for Avengers 2."
Earlier this year, Paltrow gave a different answer when she was asked the same question by Digital Spy:
"They haven't [asked] yet. They're trying to make a deal with Robert right now. Robert likes me around so I'm sure I'll pop up here, there or somewhere."
In that very same interview Paltrow also talked about the possibility of a spin-off film for her character:
"She becomes Rescue, which is such a good name. She continues to exterminate bad guys - I don't think they'll ever do it, but it would be really fun."
