Now that his rumored “gay boyfriend” Dave Franco is engaged to Alison Brie, rumor has that Zac Efron might be getting back together with Vanessa Hudgens. It is being reported that Efron’s old High School Musical co-star and girlfriend, ran to his side during a time of need.
The National Enquirer is quoting an unnamed source, who is claiming that Vanessa ran to Efron during a family crisis instead of boyfriend Austin Butler:
“Vanessa quietly reached out to Zac during her time of need. And he was only too kind to offer her a shoulder to cry on.”
The report comes shortly after Efron’s Neighbor’s co-star, Dave Franco, got engaged to his long time girlfriend, Mad Men and Community star Alison Brie. Dave’s big brother James, took to Instagram to congratulate the two.

James Franco has also taken to Instagram to poke a little fun at the Zac Efron and Dave Franco dating rumors, by reposting a fan made photoshopped tabloid photo:
The rumor sparked after Zac Efron and Dave Franco grabbed each other’s crotches in both the film Neighbors and at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.
