Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and EXO's Baekhyun, have split and are no longer a couple. Insiders close to the two K-Pop stars broke news of the breakup to Sports Today the report stated that, "Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and EXO's Baekhyun recently broke off their relationship." They credited the split down to the fact that due to "their busy schedules and focusing on their work, they had naturally grown apart." It was also divulged that despite breaking up, they both continue to maintain a good "sunbae-hoobae" (senior-junior) relationship.
In March, it was also revealed that Taeyeon secretly attended an EXO concert in Seoul and that while she was there she was reported to have shown affection towards him.
Taeyeon and Baekhyun confirmed that they were in a relationship back in June 2014 through a statement released by SM Entertainment saying, "After becoming close as colleagues, the two started dating." (Via Kpopstarz.com)
There is an age difference of three years between the now ex-couple; Taeyeon was born in 1989 and Baekhyun was born in 1992. The couple were publically together for around a year and four months before deciding to call it quits. They were allegedly the first romantic couple to be part of music groups that were under the same management company, SM Entertainment, and go public with their relationship.
During recent months, EXO and Girls' Generation have both been busy promoting their albums. EXO released their second studio album EXODUS back in March while Girls' Generation's heavily anticipated comeback with their fifth studio album Lion Heart that started off with a bang with song "PARTY" in July.
