Now that they have been married for a whole year, George Clooney and his wife, Amal Alamuddin, are said to be desperate to have a baby. According to the latest gossip news updates, Batman and his bride know that getting pregnant at their ages might not be easy, but they are prepared to do whatever it takes to conceive. In a related story, Julia Roberts recently recalled how nice it's been having the ER actor as her friend for more than 15-years -- especially when she was pregnant with her twins a decade or so ago.
After spending half his life finding a woman he feels he can settle down with, 54-year-old George Clooney supposedly understands that it may not be as easy as to start as family with Amal Alamuddin, 37, as it would have been if they had met ten years ago.
One source in the latest September 28, issue of Life and Style claims that George and Amal are ready to have kids and are willing to work at it as long as it takes to make that happen:
"They plan to have a baby within a year.
"They've had conversations about why they could have trouble conceiving. First off, George is in his mid-50s, which means the volume, mobility and structure of his sperms will have declined from his prime baby-making days.
"If need be, they consider outside help, such as IVF. They'll do anything it takes to have a baby -- and soon!"
For all his boyish charm, Julia Roberts recently explained that George is as serious as can be when it comes to babies.
In a recent interview with Allure the Pretty Women alum recalled how much Clooney seemed to soften around her when she was pregnant with her twins (via Vanity Fair):
"It was such a sweet shift in our relationships because originally, it was all pranks and teasing each other.
"And here I am pregnant, so it's like pulling out my chair and just making sure I have enough water and, 'Are you feeling okay? You look a little peaked.' 'I'm fine.'"
