Elisabeth Hasselbeck recently joined the cast of Fox and Friends on Fox News. Now a major U.S. tabloid is claiming that the former The View co-host blasted her old show and Jenny McCarthy. While the allegations are likely untrue, we’ll break down the tabloid’s incredible claims.
Until recently, Elisabeth served as a longtime co-host on The View. That all changed when the blonde bombshell announced that she was heading over to Fox News.
In many ways, that move made a lot of sense. Elisabeth was the lone conservative voice on admittedly liberal panel. Many times, Barbara and the rest of the hosts would attempt to silence Hasselbecks differing views.
But if there’s one thing you need to know, it’s that Elisabeth cannot be silenced. At least that’s what Star is claiming in their most recent edition.
Star, which has gotten more things wrong than right, is claiming that Elisabeth took a few jabs at her former employer. The publication quotes one of it’s trusty “sources” (who are NEVER named) as revealing that Elisabeth watched Jenny McCarthy’s first day on the job:
“Elisabeth watched Jenny’s first episode and thought it was just plain boring. She thinks Jenny didn’t bring anything new to the table and that the show lacked substance without her and Joy Behar. Elisabeth had one word for the show: trainwreck...Elisabeth thinks she did the right thing by leaving The View when she did. She thinks of it as a sinking ship.”
While it’s unlikely that Elisabeth would say these things, it’s clear that MANY people share those sentiments. Viewers lashed out against the network’s decision to hire McCarthy on Twitter and Facebook.
Most felt that the network screwed up by not hiring a conservative voice to add a bit of diversity. Others just found McCarthy to be a terrible host.
But we want to hear what you think. Are you happy that McCarthy joined the talk show? Are you glad that Elisabeth joined Fox News? Let us know your thoughts in the comment field below.
