Game Prediction: Jim Harbaugh has made a massive impact on the Michigan football program in his first season as the head football coach. They are playing fundamentally sound football and are ranked No. 18 in the nation despite not being given much of a chance to do prior to the season. Today, they will have the chance to rise in the rankings against the No. 13 ranked Wildcats.
Both of these teams have been pleasant surprises in the Big Ten and they both have a chance to make a run at a big bowl game. Michigan has an incredibly good running back in De'Veon Smith, although Jake Rudock isn't exactly the most dynamic quarterback in the nation.
Northwestern hasn't won all of their games very smoothly, but they have gotten the job done against a few very solid football teams. They will be relying on quarterback Clayton Thorson to make a few big plays throughout the course of the game and Justin Jackson on the ground. Those two players are more than capable of having big games on the road and making this game an entertaining one.
More than likely the Wolverines will come away with another huge win to keep their impressive 2015 season going. There aren't many teams that play more fundamental football than the Wolverines and that wins games.
Big Ten conference football is back and these two teams should put on a show this afternoon. If the Wolverines take care of the football and simply play the brand of football that they have played the past couple of weeks they should be just fine and should come away with their fifth win of the season.
