"What Do You Mean" singer, Justin Bieber, and "Same Old Love" songstress, Selena Gomez, now have another thing in common. Could it be that their relationship, once a hot commodity until they called it quits, might be ignited again? We may not know if the exes will get back together again, but we know this for sure, there was a leak of their unofficial duet titled "Strong." No word yet on whether or not this is a new track for Purpose.
According to MTV News, Bieber and Gomez collaborated on a new tune. The unofficial song, titled "Strong," was unveiled on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio show on Beats 1 Radio Saturday night. In a blink, the leaked song was spreading on the Internet and social media like wild fire, and then, as quickly as it appeared, all streaming sites pulled the track because the it is unofficial.
The song could be about a relationship judging by its lyrics. “What should I do? Should I go? /Who do I talk to? Nobody knows,” Bieber sings. Gomez adds later on, “Wishing I was better at this damn thing/ Cause it’s just been too long and I can’t change.”
Gomez's newest album, Revival, was released on October 9. Bieber has an album due out November 13. "Strong" was not featured on Gomez's Revival, but there is a possibility the track will appear on Bieber's forthcoming album, Purpose, in November, as Bieber hasn't said it will not be on the album and a track list has yet to come out.
Bieber and Gomez have been dating on and off since 2014. They have both been opening up about their relationship recently. Gomez spoke highly of Bieber in a candid interview with Elle magazine. She happily stated that she would always love Bieber and when she was asked if she would rekindle their relationship again one day, she replied, "I don't know." Bieber spoke with Complex in September and he stated that they loved each other very much. He felt consumed with her because they were around one another so much. He stated that it felt like a "marriage kind of thing."
Look for Purpose come November 13 and maybe fans will be happy to report that the track, "Strong" appears on the album.
