Willie Nelson Injured: Hurt Singer Cancels New Record Tour Dates, Including Southern Ground Music and Food Festival

Sad news for country music fans. Legendary artist Willie Nelson has suffered a shoulder injury and has been forced to cancel his upcoming new record tour dates, until October 15. This includes his scheduled appearance at Zack Brown's Southern Ground Music and Food Festival in Nashville this weekend.

According to his publicist, Nelson is currently under doctors' orders to forego touring for the next two weeks. This has lead the 80-year-old singer to cancel a string of shows, including this weekend's Southern Ground Music and Food Festival in Nashville, hosted by Zack Brown.

Despite Nelson's unfortunate absence, the two day festival still has plenty of great acts to enjoy. Artist like: Kacey Musgraves, Kenny Chesney, John Fogerty, Clare Bowen, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Dawe, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, and many more, alongside special guest Jason Mraz.

Zack Brown boasted about the lineup in a recent interview with Nashville Scene:

"These are all people that I'm a really big fan of and people that I think our fans would enjoy. If you really sit out there and just come open-minded as a music fan and a food fan, you're going to get your mind blown by all of it — that's the goal."

The festival hits Nashville this weekend Friday,27-Saturday 28. Nelson's latest album, All The Girls, comes out on October. 22.

We here at Classicalite wish Nelson all the best in his recovery.
