Fans of Fox News have a lot to look forward to in the next week. Gretchen Carlson’s new show premieres today, and Megyn Kelly’s The Kelly File will start on October 7. In this latest update, we’ll take a look at some of the changes Fox News plans to implement.
Gretchen Carlson’s new show, The Real Story With Gretchen Carlson, comes on in less than an hour (2:00 p.m. EST). This marks viewers’ first chance to check out the new programming that is coming to Fox News.
Carlson, who previously co-anchored Fox and Friends, is excited to be getting her own shot hosting the afternoon program. The industry news veteran was quoted as saying:
“I am thrilled that Roger Ailes has given me the opportunity to host a signature show for Fox that will focus on the real stories of the day. From in-depth interviews to social media interaction live during the show, I look forward to joining viewers in the afternoon for smart and straight-forward talk. Plus, I now get to have breakfast with my kids and maybe even drive them to school! How great is that?"
Fans have been eagerly awaiting Carlson’s return, since she recently left the popular morning news program. Her replacement, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, has been doing a great job on the program, though many have a connection with Gretchen and can't wait for her to get back on the air.
Another key player that Fox fans are dying to see again is Megyn Kelly. They haven’t seen the broadcaster for months, as she is presently on maternity leave.
Luckily, they don’t have to wait much longer. Her new show, The Kelly File, will premiere in just one week on October 7 at 9:00 p.m.
