"So You Think You Can Dance" eliminated its first four finalists out of the top 20 dancers and confirmed 16 contestants for season 9 on Wednesday's show on Fox.
The judges of the television dance competition show announced two males and two females who will be sent home: contemporary dancer Alexa Anderson, 19, ballet dancer Daniel Baker, 24, ballroom dancer Nick Bloxsom-Carter, 20, and lyrical contemporary dancer Janaya French, 20.
"I just want to say thank you," Janaya French said after the results were announced.
"It was an amazing experience and I'll never forget anybody who was a part of it, so thank you," Janaya added.
The bottom six dancers with the least votes were up for elimination, and only two could be saved by the judges.
"We don't vote anybody off, we only save people," head judge Nigel Lythgoe said Wednesday night.
The third ninth-season performance of the reality show will air on July 25 at 8 PM ET/PT, featuring the 16 remaining finaliasts' performance.
