$5 Footlong Fiasco: U.S. Attorneys Office Asks Judge to Give Jared Fogle Max Prison Sentence

The prosecution in the child pornography trial of Jared Fogle has asked the judge to sign off on the maximum prison sentence, 12 1/2 years, in the plea bargain deal for the former Subway spokesman.

The prosecution is trying to make a big statement in the case against Jared Fogle, former spokesman for Subway. They have asked the judge to sign off for the maximum allowed prison sentence in his plea agreement. This is no small time term. This isn't just a basic case of a man with child pornography on his computer and cell phone. Fogle was also found to be involved in the act of making child pornography as well, luring kids to their demise.

Fogle speaks candidly about the acts to a woman who became his friend then turned FBI informant, Rochelle Herman-Walrond, "I like all ages. That's the thing I mean. It depends...who is ready for what. You know, who's going to give you the glance." According to TMZ, the "U.S. Attorney's Office in Indiana has filed legal docs asking the judge to give Fogle 12 1/2 years in federal prison. Under the plea bargain agreement, the range was between 5 - 12 1/2 years, subject to the judge signing off."

Fogle wasn't just caught with a few images or videos, he was caught with 5.6 terabytes of pornographic material involving children. the breakdown of the information covered many devices: 16 smart phones, 6 laptops, 3,394 videos, 49,623 pictures, and 22 DVD's. The FBI has been trying to identify some of the victims ever since the data was confiscated, and have had some minor success. They have identified 12 victims of child pornography and 2 victims of child prostitution.

The prosecution wants the book thrown at Fogle and his associate, Russell Taylor, due to the severity of the crimes and the volume of pornography that was stored and created. Taylor would give minors drugs and alcohol, persuading them to be in sexual acts. Fogle also is accused of paying minors for sexual acts in hotel rooms as well.

The FBI is determined to locate and identify as many of the victims as possible.
