5 Bold Predictions for Atlanta Falcons vs. Indianapolis Colts in NFL Week 11

Heading into NFL Week 11 action, the Atlanta Falcons are set to host the Indianapolis Colts. What five bold predictions can be made for the game and what should fans be on the lookout for throughout the game?

1. Julio Jones Will Go Off Against the Flimsy Colts' Defense

While Ryan Grigson did bring in a couple of decent players to help improve the Colts' defense, they still have a poor secondary. Julio Jones is going to have an easy task of carving through the Indianapolis defense for a big game. It's hard to predict how much production he will have, but around 130 yards and two touchdowns would be a safe bet.

2. Matt Hasselbeck is Sharp and Consistent with His Passes

After winning last week against the Denver Broncos, everything seemed to be shaping up nicely for the Colts. Then the news that Andrew Luck would miss the next 2-6 weeks broke and Matt Hasselbeck immediately became the starter. Hasselbeck will be sharp and consistent with his passes this week and is going to give his team a chance to pull off another huge win.

3. Devonta Freeman Gets Shut Down by the Colts' Run Defense

One area that the Colts' defense did improve in a big way has been their run defense. Devonta Freeman is one of the hottest backs in the league, but he is going to get slowed down by the Indianapolis defense. He is still going to put up some numbers, but he will not look like a superstar or the best running back in the league this week.

4. Andre Johnson Comes Through with a Huge Performance

T.Y. Hilton is the Colts' No. 1 wide receiver, but the quiet piece that has yet to break through like they expected is Andre Johnson. He has had a couple big games, which will happen once again this week. Johnson is still more than capable of having a major role for a playoff caliber team and the Colts need him to prove that this week and step up for Hasselbeck.

5. Indianapolis Picks Up a Massive Road Victory

There is no question that the Colts are coming in as underdogs without Luck, but they will come out of this game with a huge win. Hasselbeck is a good enough quarterback to lead them to victory and the Falcons have been struggling over the past couple weeks. Atlanta could very well pull out the win, but our money is on the Colts.

Overview

Expect both of these teams to come out of the gates with a sense of urgency, but the Falcons have been unraveling over the past couple weeks. Indianapolis is playing for a cause with Luck out and they know that they have to come away with this win. Houston is putting pressure on the Colts, which will be yet another motivational tool for the Colts.
