Jennifer Lopez Dis Inspires "Come Dance With Us Skit" on the 'Tonight Show' [WATCH]

Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Lawrence and Jimmy Fallon all attended the Met Ball earlier this year. After a bit of scheming, Fallon and Lawrence went to ask Lopez for a dance. In the confusion of said request, Fallon disappeared and left a bewildered Lawrence by herself, to deal with an embarrassing dis from Lopez. Now Fallon and Lawrence are back in cahoots once more, begging Lopez to "Come Dance with us," on the latest Tonight Show.

Rolling Stone reports, "The "Come Dance With Us" bit has its roots in a Tonight Show appearance Lawrence made last May, where she and Fallon recounted a failed prank they tried to play on Jennifer Lopez at a party." Apparently, the two had determined -- after many a Jello shot -- they would dramatically ask for Lopez's company on the dance floor. Unfortunately for Lawrence, Lopez's manager is familiar with Fallon's antics and told him, "no." So, at the fateful moment, Lawrence spun into action, alone. After realizing Fallon had abandoned her, Lawrence still followed through. However, even without Fallon involved, Lopez said no to a dance.

In the moments that follow the retelling of the Met Ball's events, Fallon and Lawrence make it very clear Lopez is more than welcome to drink some Jello shots and dance with them. The request is made in a very cartoonish manner, and if you are not familiar with the infomercial they are making fun of, it almost comes across as an inside joke.

Based on this most recent episode, it is reasonable to assume two things:

1. JLo once again dissed Jennifer Lawrence and has forgone her invitation to dance.

2. There were more than a few people who recognized what the pair were attempting to emulate.

Before playing the three clips, Fallon explains, "I don't know if you've heard about this, but a lot of people have been telling me that there's this infomercial that airs at 3 a.m. on QVC starring these two people that apparently look like you and me," to which Lawrence gleefully retorts, "Oh, you mean the 'Come dance with us?' Yeah, people tell me about this all the time, but I've never actually seen it."

The sketch that follows is a hilarious conglomeration of several embarrassing dances of the "Best versions of the worst dance moves that we've ever seen including: check the door, bury the nut, and disco binoculars," and so many more.
