But before he appeared nude on film, the actor appeared in Equus. The daring role required Daniel to be naked on stage every night. Since the performance, nude pictures of the actor has appeared online.
Daniel doesn’t seem to phased by being seen in the buff. He reiterated this sentiment when he appeared on Ellen, telling the host:
"I'm comfortable with it, but I do like to point out, I don't request it...I was having a conversation with another friend of mine who's an actress who has done quite a few nude scenes and I was just saying, 'We're going to start getting called exhibitionists.'"
Daniel is also generating a lot of buzz with his upcoming film, Kill Your Darlings, where Daniel plays Allen Ginsberg. Dane Dehaan, who will portray Allen’s lover, recently said that Daniel was a great kisser. His co-star went on to explain the scene:
"It's like the first time that two people who have a lot of feelings for each other are finally getting to express that in any kind of way. I'm glad it turned out like it is. I think it's really beautiful."
Daniel also opened up about his crush on Katy Perry. He told Ellen that he was too nervous to even speak with her:
"I thought I should go up and say hi and then I thought about, 'What if she thinks you're some teenage fanboy?' So I couldn't. I said, 'I'm not going to try, it would be embarrassing.'"
What do you think about Daniel’s nudity? Has he broken free of the stigma attached to the Harry Potter role? Was this one of the only ways he could do it?
