Joanna Newsom Teaches Larry King How to Play Harp on Webisode

Joanna Newsom has kept busy this year with a movie and new album. Now, the songstress has been featured in a preview of her upcoming Larry King webisode via King's Instagram. In it, the musician is seen showing the host how to play the harp.

The episode is set to air on Dec. 14 and is part of Larry King's new webshow. The 82-year-old never seems too old to engage his guests in any which way he feels is suiting.

In the 15-second clip, King can be heard performing on the instrument and surprisingly is not that bad. Perhaps Newsom has introduced the talk show host to a new hobby.

Newsom released her latest LP, Divers, via Drag City in October. The album features the single, "Sapokanikan," which also has a visual element available for stream on YouTube.

The singer-songwriter also made a brief appearance in the Paul Thomas Anderson film, Inherent Vice, starring Joaquin Phoenix. P. T. Anderson also directed the music video for Newsom's "Sapokanikan" and was the first music video from the director since Fiona Apple's "Hot Knife."

While many of the string arrangements on the album were provided by Newsom herself, Nico Muhly also contributed along with Dirty Projectors frontman Dave Longstreth and Ryan Francesconi. Steve Albini and Noah Georgeson recorded the album.

The singer-songwriter has been quite prolific in 2015 and will end the year on a good note with Larry King.

Regardless, here is Joanna Newsom below and her music video for "Sapokanikan." Be sure to preview her album, too, which is available on all major streaming and digital outlets.
