So you ran out and grabbed yourself a copy of the Disney Infinity: 3.0 Star Wars Starter Set this weekend or cheap and you are wondering what else you might need. Well we have you covered. This year’s main theme is Star Wars, and the starter set comes with the Clone Wars themed Twilight of the Republic Play Set Anakin Skywalker and his padawan Ahsoka Tano. You are in luck. In addition to other play sets from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel, you can also expand your Star Wars experience with The Rise Against the Empire Play Set. Rise features the all your favorite moments from the original Star Wars Trilogy. It gets even better. Coming with the release of Episode 7, an all new Star Wars The Force Awakens Play Set will be released, as well as figures from the new movie.
Last year, the Marvel Super Heroes Play Set kept it’s heroes separated. Despite being located in New York, Spider-Man, wasn’t able to swing by the Avengers, and it looks like the big apple isn’t a part of the galaxy that Star Lord is supposed to guard. However, this year things are different. Every single Star Wars character will be playable in each play set…..evently. You have to unlock to right to use them in each world, but that just makes for more fun.
So your new starter set is nice and all but you are more of an old school Star Wars fan? No problem. Luke and Leia both face the dark side in the Rise Against the Empire Play Set.
An official Disney Interactive press release offers all the details for one of the latest playsets, including most of your favorite characters from the original trilogy:
“The Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set is available at a suggested retail price of $34.99 and includes the Play Set piece, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa figures. Han Solo, Chewbacca and Darth Vader figures are also now available and sold separately for a suggested retail price of $13.99.
“In the Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set, players will embark on galaxy-spanning missions with legendary Jedi Luke Skywalker, Rebel leader Princess Leia Organa, heroic smuggler Han Solo and his trusty co-pilot Chewbacca to help defeat Darth Vader and overthrow the evil Galactic Empire. With non-stop action, players can explore open world planets like Tatooine on foot or on a Bantha, take down AT-AT walkers on snowspeeders on Hoth, out-maneuver storm troopers on speeder bikes on Endor, and partake in epic space battles in an X-wing in attempt to destroy the Death Star.”
