This week ABC’s The Muppets has it all. Joseph Gordon-Levitt guest stars. The former 3rd Rock from The Sun actor turned superstar performs a duet with Miss Piggy, and for some reason is bringing up Looper as if it was something to be proud of, while playing poker with Scooter and the gang. Meanwhile, Foo Fighter’s frontman and legendary Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl meets his match when he gets into a drum battle with Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem Animal.
The official plot synopsis for this week’s all new episode of The Muppets, titled “Going, Going, Gonzo,” reads:
“Joseph Gordon-Levitt performs a duet with Miss Piggy on ‘Up Late’ and then plays poker with Scooter, Pepe and the gang. Meanwhile, the Great Gonzo prepares for his next death-defying stunt; and Dave Grohl challenges Animal to a drumming contest.”
Joseph Gordon-Levitt should be fitting right in with these new more adult themed Muppets. After all he is used to working alongside furry, loveable goofballs with an overly cartoonish laugh. Rently, JGL opened up to Jimmy Kimmel about what is was like working with Seth Rogen on the new Christmas film, The Night Before:
“We’re all throwing ideas in at the last minute, and there is definitely a joint being passed around the room early in the day. The first day I said like, ‘Oh, I know how to smoke. I’ve smoked since I was a kid. I can do this, sure. Let’s see! It’ll inspire good comedy. But, the comedy that it inspires was maybe funny to me.“So I decided to start smoking at the end of the day, after the work was done. Smoke at the end of the day, kids, wait until the day’s work is done. Then enjoy your weed.”
