Megyn Kelly’s Fox News Show Wins Ratings War, Interview With “Most Hated” Ted Cruz Beats Rachel Maddow and Piers Morgan Combined [UPDATE]

Megyn Kelly’s new Fox News show is already a huge success. To say she was winning the ratings war against MSNBC and CNN would be the understatement of the century. Her recent interview with Ted Cruz, whom she called “the most hated man in America,” beat Rachel Maddow and Piers Morgan, combined.

If you’re a gambling man, then you would be a fool not to bet on Roger Ailes. Though many questioned FNC’s recent lineup changes (and to be fair, there were a lot of them), Ailes didn’t flinch.

This was especially true when it came to Megyn Kelly. Prior to her new 9 p.m. gig, The Kelly File, Mr. Ailes informed the press:

"Megyn is an exceptional talent who has successfully filled and surpassed each role we have given her at the network. Her ability to command the screen, delve into the facts and lead a debate is what makes her one of the most sought-after anchors in the business."

His faith in Megyn paid off...big time. According to Nielsen, the new mom brought in over 2.1 million viewers.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow came in second, with nearly one million viewers. CNN, who has somehow managed to become virtually irrelevant, drew an audience of just 500,000.
