More rumors are flying that One Direction’s Harry Styles is dating his alleged girlfriend, Paige Reifler. These reports are in direct contrast to claims that he was rekindling his relationship with Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne.
It’s hard to date Harry Styles. In fact, your life is made more difficult even if you’re just rumored to be dating Harry.
One Direction fans are relentless and they don’t want anyone to lay their hands on their heartthrob. This has never been more evident than his fans’ reaction to photos of him snuggling up to Paige Reifler.
Immediately after the tweet went public, the Paige bashing began. This is especially unfortunate considering that Paige wasn’t the one who posted the pics of her straddling Harry.
One of her friends (ex-friend, now) uploaded the sexy images to get revenge on the young celebrity. This was evident by Reifler’s Twitter pleas, as she begged:
“Take this down now!! Seriously not cool at all… This is no way to get back at me… Walter c’mon now! Revenge is childish. I hope you’re happy.”
She’s not the only one to face 1D backlash. That distinction also belongs to Taylor Swift. In an interview with Glamour magazine, the singer addressed the tweens that harassed her:
"I never read one hateful thing said about me by some 12 year old. So I got to live an actual life. And I’ve kept that mentality. Just because there’s a hurricane going on around you doesn’t mean you have to open the window and look at it. You can be obsessed with the bad things people say and the good things, either way you’re obsessed with yourself and I’m not – you can become unhinged so easily. Vanity can apply to both insecurity and egotism. So I distance myself, because I feel everything. The little I am exposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can really control are my songs and my behaviour. The rest? If I focused on it, that would lead to insanity."
