Once gain the supermarket tabloids are claiming that Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are on the verge of divorce. According to the latest gossip news, the Cruel Intentions beauty thinks her husband has devoted himself to work in the wake of his 2013 DUI at the expense of spending time with his family. Word has it that Reese blames Jim for throwing all of his time into work, and their friends are said to worry that if things don't change they will soon split. Or course, it's not like Reese has exactly taken a break from work herself lately. In addition to recently staring in Hot Pursuit with Sofia Vergara and narrating the short film Home, Witherspoon is also pulling acting a producing duties alongside Nicole Kidman for HBO's new miniseries, Big Little Lies.
Although they often appear the very picture of happiness, Reese Witherspoon is said to be terribly dissatisfied with her marriage to Jim Toth.
One source in the latest December 21, issue of Star magazine claims that ever since his DUI arrest a couple years ago, the funning loving Jim that Reese fell in love with has all but disappeared:
"When they first got together, he put his career almost on hold for her. Now he works day and night and doesn't answer his phone when she calls.
"In her eyes he is not the same man she married.
"She will criticize him for not being able to juggle his career and home life as well as she can."
To be far to Jim, it's not as though Reese has cleared her own work schedule in anticipation of spending hours together rekindling their romance.
In addition to Witherspoon's recently lending voice to a short film about the environment called Home, Variety reports that Reese has also signed on to both act in and produce HBO's new mini-series, Big Little Lies.
Reese will be joining an all-star cast including Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Adam Scott for a dark tale of murder and betrayal:
"Big Little Lies is described as a darkly comic drama centering on three mothers of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder."
