Adele and One Direction's Perform on 'X Factor UK' Season Finale

For the season finale of X Factor UK, both Adele and One Direction performed on the stage that has brought so many both joy and pain. On Sunday's X Factor show, Adele described her performance as "terrifying," -- this coming from the Oscar winning songstress who sang in front of a panel that was composed of Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw.

She sang her latest single "Hello" at the SSE Wembley Arena and said afterwards, ''I don't think I could go through that again." She continued, "You're so close, I feel like I'm auditioning. You look so far away on the telly.''

The singer is actually a huge fan of the TV talent show and her performance to her was very satisfying.

''That was so amazing! I've been waiting for half my life to do that. Thanks for having me. I nearly burst out laughing the whole way through.''

One Direction also bid a farewell performance on the show alongside Adele. This is believed to be the group's final performance before they take their much needed break.

The now foursome boy group composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson sang their latest hit, "Infinity." It was a trip down memory lane for the boys as they were discovered on the show and were put together by panelist Simon Cowell himself. Simon had all nice things to say about the the boys saying:

"You are taking a break, you deserve a break and I just want to say thank you, enjoy the break. Enjoy the time off, have a fantastic time. I'm proud of who you have become. You have been an absolute pleasure to work with.''

Olly Murs, the show's host, then segued to a tribute video for One Direction that features Icons such as Danny De Vito, Little Mix, David Beckham and Wayne Rooney.

The group's hit, "Steal My Girl," featured De Vito in the music video, who said: ''Spend some of that money and while you're at it take some acting lessons.''

The famous footballer and product endorser, Beckham, who was singing along to the boy's song said: ''Boys, what can I say. Five years and you have given so much to so many people. You are unbelievably talented but more importantly unbelievably nice guys. You need to come back soon or you're going to have more videos like that.''

Wayne Rooney told the boys to ''enjoy your holidays'' and Little Mix said: ''You guys have smashed it for many years and we are so proud of you.''

Simon added: ''It's been a privilege, it's been fun. Enjoy the break and I'll always be there.''
