Five 'Star Wars' Toys: A List Inspired by 'SNL's' Geek Toy Commercial [WATCH]

The release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is almost here and movie themed toys are already flying off the shelves. In one of their most recent skits, the Saturday Night Live crew had their own kind of fun with Star Wars toys and brought to life what they think a real Star Wars toy commercial should look like. It is kind of like watching a documentary about geeks... A geek mockumentary perhaps? Watching the mockumentary made me jones to see more of the cool toys that have been made available through the joy of Star Wars. Here are five that caught my eye:

BB 8 Sphero Toy

Wired got the full scoop on this roly poly bot and says, "The little toy is loaded with personality. It bleeps and bloops as it moves, its little eyes always swiveling (sometimes comically so) to face you. You can send it on missions and play games. It rolls perfectly smoothly, too" It should be fun. Expensive, but fun.

Furbacca

Apparently, if Chewbacca were to mate with a Furby, this would be the outcome. Furbacca comes complete with a cutified version of the Chewie roar and its own phone app which is similar to the Furby Boom app, but with Star Wars pizzazz.

Legos Millennium Falcon

The Lego Millennium Falcon is extremely detailed and even includes a rotating sensor dish. It also comes with miniaturized versions of both Han Solo and Chewbacca to man the ship, of course.

Bladebuilders Jedi Master Lightsaber

With this Lightsaber kit, you can build your own Lightsaber. You will not even have to make your own sound effects. They are included at no extra charge.

Flying RC Millenium Falcon

That's right. It is a remote controlled, flying Millenium Falcon drone. Now you can pilot the iconic ship yourself! Wired comes through once again to describe the design of Air Hog's Flying RC Millenium Falcon from Spin Master, "The quadcopter design is incorporated into the Falcon's body, and while the overall look of Han's sweet ride is ruined by the necessity of having four gaping holes, the end result is worth it."

Geeks may groan at the jokes SNL made about their toy playing habits, but they really can't say too much. I know several people, including myself, who will be buying three of every Star Wars toy we can get our hands on. Though, our reasons are slightly different than the ones featured in this skit: one for display, one to put away and one for play. I love my friends.
