Amanda Bynes’ Mental Health Update: Illness Worsens at Psychiatric Center, Claims Tabloids [RUMORS]

A recent tabloid report is claiming that Amanda Bynes’ mental health is in jeopardy. According to new rumors, the young actress’ illness may be getting worse at her current psychiatric center.

Amanda Bynes made a lot of news in 2013. Unfortunately, most of it was negative. From throwing a bong out of a window to setting a fire on a neighbor’s driveway, it became clear that she was suffering from some form of mental illness.

Since her latest antic, a judge ordered that Bynes undergo court ordered therapy. Unfortunately, OK! Magazine says that the treatment may not be working. The tabloid quotes a source as saying:

“She has had some breakdowns, can’t function, can’t watch TV. It’s so sad.”

As usual, the source didn’t offer any evidence to support their claims. It’s this kind of unsubstantiated rumors that Amanda’s mom, Lynn Bynes, spoke about. In an interview with People, the 66-year-old mother addressed all of the gossip about her daughter, telling the publication:

"I would really like everyone out there to know that almost 99 percent of the things written about my daughter in various media outlets are false or misleading. Unless it's a statement issued by our family attorney, Tamar Arminak, please take everything you read about Amanda with a grain of salt."

The media seemed to devote 24 hour coverage to the young starlet over the summer, including her numerous transfers. Bynes is currently at her third rehab after leaving the uber expensive UCLA Medical Center.

According to reports, it cost her as much as $3,500/day. That’s over a $1 million a year. To put it in perspective, a source told TMZ:

“The cost is so high because it covers not just treatment, but living expenses as well. To put this in perspective, you can get a deluxe executive suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in nearby Beverly Hills for $815 a night."
