Pittsburgh and Navy have met quite a few times in college football history; 39 to be exact, and the Panthers lead the series 22-14-3. This year, however, may be leaning away from the previous norm. The 8-4 Panthers have been pretty good this year, but have they been as good as Navy?

Absolutely not.

The Midshipmen are 10-2 and led by one of the greatest triple-option quarterbacks of all time.

Senior Keenan Reynolds has had a career to be remembered for a long, long time, as he owns the record the most rushing touchdowns ever. Eighty-five times he's crossed that goal-line, and winning 35 games with one more to go is majorly impressive. Reynolds has dreams of playing on Sundays while serving in the Navy simultaneously, and what happens in this bowl game can show people on a national stage what he can do once again.

For determining how this game will, though, is dependent upon how well Pitt can defend Reynolds and the option.

The Panthers are ranked No. 20 in the country, allowing just 126.1 yards per game on the ground. They're also giving up just 4.06 yards per carry. Those are some solid numbers, but what be more revealing is if we take a look at how they did against the one option team they played this year: Georiga Tech.

Pitt beat the Yellow Jackets 31-28, however, they could not stop the option one bit.

GT ran down the Panthers' throats all game to the tune of 376 yards on 40 carries -- 9.4 yards per pop! -- and three touchdowns. The crazy thing is, Tech only went 3-9 this year. That team wasn't even that good and they still demolished Pitt with the option game.

Navy is a much more complete team this year, and you can be sure that the Midshipmen will be fully prepared to take on this Panther squad.

Prediction: Navy 34, Pitt 20
