Jessica Simpson & Eric Johnson Feud over New TV Show?

One might think that Jessica Simpson's husband, Eric Johnson, would be happy to see Daisy Duke working in television again, but word has it that the former footballer is anything but. According to the latest gossip news updates, Jessica's husband hates the idea of a sitcom based on their life that will ultimately lampoon the family that his so proud of. It's said that the thought of being portrayed as some sort of goofy father figure has Eric missing the days when Jessica was content to stay at home.

Although Jessica Simpson new TV show is supposedly going to be a fictional sitcom only loosely based on her interactions with her family, her husband is said to furious at the thought of turning their lives into a laughing stock.

One source in the latest January 11, issue of InTouch claims that Johnson is especially upset at his being portrayed as a fool instead of a provider:

"He's very private and hate the idea of exposing their life.

"He can't stand the idea of being portrayed as some foolish TV comedy dad...Eric is the rock of the family."

Despite her husband's reportedly having hurt feelings, Jessica is said to have been too focused on dealing with her mother and father's feuding this holiday season to pay Eric too much attention.

The secret insider that OK! Magazine spoke to revealed that Jess ultimately had to schedule separate Christmas events for her father and mother so the family could celebrate together -- albeit not at the same time:

"Jess has no idea how to manage things this year!

"There's really no choice but for her to arrange a separate luncheon with Joe and exclude him from all the main family celebrations."
