‘RHONJ’ Teresa Giudice 2013 Arrest: Husband Joe Says Kids Won’t Stay with Melissa Gorga if Guilty of Fraud Charges [UPDATE]

2013 has been a rough year for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe. The reality TV couple were arrested and charged with over 30 counts of fraud. Now, Joe has revealed that if he and Teresa are found guilty, their kids will not be going to stay with Melissa and Joe Gorga.

Teresa Giudice is known for making headlines, but not the kind that she generated over the summer, when she and husband Joe were arrested. The celebrity couple are facing 39 counts of fraud. If convicted, they could be sentenced to 50 years in prison and millions of dollars in fines.

Teresa and Joe were recently being interviewed by Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, when asked about where their children would go if both he and Teresa wind up in prison. The embattled husband responded:

"They wouldn't want to go there [to the Gorgas' home]. Because of all the things they say on television about their mom. It wouldn't be Melissa and Joe. It would be my sister and brother. The [Gorga’s] haven’t really been supportive.”

It’s difficult decisions like these that have been taking their toll on Teresa. According to a source who spoke with OK! Magazine:

“Teresa wants everyone to think she is this tough, together Italian women, but the truth is she is scared. The night before her court appearance was too much for her to handle. She felt sick to her stomach and threw up several times before she broke down crying...When she calmed down, she forced herself to drink orange juice to get her blood sugar up.”

The source went on to allege that Teresa has all but stopped eating:

“Joe begged her to eat something but she just couldn’t. Teresa was horrified because she is doing everything she can to shield her children from this nightmare and she knows if they see her freak out, they’ll freak out.”
